Its the last day...
of 2007 lah! (what were you thinking)
So I guess its a tradition for everyone to make their new year resolutions and stuff but let me break that tradition alright. After all, new year resolutions dont really work for me cause I forget about them in less than 48 after that. BUT, that doesnt mean I cant thank God for what He have given and blessed me this year.
So, here are not my (20 minus 07) 13 new year resolutions but my 13 thanksgivings.
Number One:
For my best friend, YingLin
I thank God for giving me this great friend who has been by my side through the past 3 years. Whenever I dont want to go NP (in fact almost always) or for CC training, its this girl who will some how convince me to go. When I need help in studies, she's there to help. When I'm bored, well, she'll try to find time to go shopping with me. I thank God for her.
Number Two:
For my big "brother", Xiao Wen
I thank God for providing me with such a great friend (so much so that he becomes like my big brother) who showers me with care and concern (and nagging). But he has been a blessing in my life, encouraging me when I play my electric guitar and nags me to go and sleep so that the next day I have energy to pay attention in class. I thank God for such a great "big kor kor".
Number Three:
For my family
I thank God for my family who has been at times a pain in the ass but definitely looks after me. I thank God for my Dad who works hard to pay all our shopping expenses and put in great effort to bring the family together. I thank God for my Mum who is always working hard doing the house chores, cooking us great food and doing all the little trivial things that we actually dont realize. I thank God for my irritating brother, David, who tries his best to be obedient (though he really needs to talk lesser). I also thank God for my little princess sister, Ruth, who always help me do my things, such as clearing my ever messy table. I thank God for them.
Number Four:
For my LIVEWIRE! friends
I thank God for them cause they are the ones who make my weekends worth looking forward to. There are humorous ones like Xp and Tim Ng, bimbotic ones like Tim Lim and Mich, fanatic ones like Joel and Nicole, crazy ones like Tabitha and Sarah, daredevil ones like Samuel and Jeremy, sexy ones like Nat and Ken and the list goes on. I love weekends because of them. They are the ones I can trust and the ones that make up my closest circle of friends, somewhat like a family yea? Simply LOVE you know... I thank God for church friends.
Number Five:
For my cell group
I thank God for my cell group, Feverent. I thank God for Nut, our sexy and macho cell leader, who can take all our crap and yet so diligent on following up with us. I thank God for Samuel who always bring fun into our cell and a good ass leader. (: I thank God for Jeremy, though loves to talk crap and runs away when it comes to washing up, for all the fun he brings to our cell. If without him, our group wont be as nutty and dare devil as it is now. I also thank God for Gabriel, cause he brings all smile into our group. Well, as every cell have its own characteristic, I love mine and as 2008 comes, Feverent WILL be one that is feverent for God.
Number Six:
For my great pastor, Pastor Rachel
I thank God for Pastor Rachel, for she is so ever patient and bubbly yet brings LIVEWIRE! to another level into encountering God. I thank God for her good insights and future plans for LIVEWIRE! I thank God for her.
Number Seven:
For my school
I thank God for TK. When I put TK as my second choice after PSLE, I never thought of it as a really great school or whatsoever cause I was sure to get into Ngee Ann. Well, surprise surprise, I didnt get in and was given my second choice instead. But, I dont think I'll regret it cause TK have great teachers that make sure we get our As during exams, teachers that work overtime and ensures that everyone is home then they leave. Teachers that stay back for night classes just to make sure we have sufficient revision for the exams and teachers that care alot. TK also have a principal that is attentive to the needs of the students and knows how to hype things up. TK maybe the best 'neighbourhood' one would know.
Number Eight:
For my class, 3A'07
I thank God for 3A although I am not very close to my classmates. But I'm thankful that I have classmates that dont backstab me behind my back and in fact, there are some caring ones. I thank God for them being so hardworking that influence me to study hard too.
Number Nine:
For my squad mates
I thank God for them cause ever since we became NCOs, we become very reliant on each other and closer than before (especially after we turn our backs against monster). At the start of this year, NCO camp hadnt been easy. Uniform parade was pure torture but we survived it. Trainings and camps werent easy at times but we pulled through to become the squad of many firsts and lasts. I really treasure a few people in NP, namely YingLin, Ivan, Benny, Jinyi who have been there to help me. Especially Ivan and Benny when it comes to LAW stuff. :D Stocktaking have always been fun with them. And campcraft is isnt about the tent and stuff, its the people. God, I really am thankful for them.
Number Ten:
For my studies and health
I thank God for helping me in my studies. It hadnt been easy to juggle a crazy schedule and studies, especially being in a super competitive class. But, I can see improvement in my grades and that will be the same next year. I also thank God for keeping me healthy, so much so that my report card shows a 82/82 for attendance yearly.
Number Eleven:
For Singapore
I thank God for protecting Singapore and giving her good and decent leaders. Though GST may have raised, Singapore have been a safe country.
Number Twelve (wowwie, this is getting harder):
For a great holiday
I thank God for the recent holiday to Japan. Indeed, it has been one that is totally different from the previous years and one that is extremely fun. One that I made many friends and enjoyed alot.
and finally,
Number Thirteen:
For God's grace:
Well, basically everything above wont happen if there wasnt God's grace. I thank God for that!
And now, with my 13 thanksgivings done, I can usher the new year 2008 with church friends at the Watchnight service later.
Blessed New Year people!

Youth Retreat was the bomb. :D
'Expect the Unexpected' eh? TOTALLY. I didnt expect it to be that tiring too. But overall, the retreat was fun fun fun and not to mention really good food. But meeting God was of course the best part.
I wanted to wait for Nicole to send me the pictures before I blog about it but on second thought, it may take a long time. So, highlights of the camp were mainly the beach/water games, the 4am night walk and the finale. The 4am walk was a surprise alright. Being blindfolded and dragged by our group leaders (Samuel, Xp, Xw and Tim) to the beach where we had our QT. You can imagine Tiffany's face when she was woken up. One word - black.
Games were super rough and competitive with Samuel and Xw around. Oh yes, and our skit was hilarious. The 4 groups were given different tales and we got Little Red Riding Hood. With bimbotic wolf and Samuel turning into a older version of RRH at the end, you can imagine how ridiculous our skit was. Other groups were funny too, especially Xp's macho wacho act. Oh, and Daniel's gayish acting skills were excellent. My new idol! (:
But what's a youth retreat without meeting God? Messages by Vicki and Kelvin was good and ministry was like no other. Most of us met God then and from the testimonies, God sure did appear to everyone that seeks him. For me, I guess its time to surrender my studies to Him and let Him to bring on the greater plans.
I gotta say that this retreat was great and the credits have to go to the organizers, Mich (who sadly lost her voice on the second day) and Kenneth. :D And of course, the great chefs. Nothing beats great food at the camp. (so get jealous Tim Lim!)
Well, looks like its going to quite some time till the next retreat.
Now, tell me that time doesnt fly. It teleports.

21/12; OTANI!
Okay, I know I seriously havent been updating. But... theres nothing to update?
I've basically been watching anime, shopping for presents, doing homework... Talking about anime, let me introduce to you the anime that I've been super absorbed in.
Presenting...
Lovely Complex! Okay. I know you guys are laughing at the name. Though the name is super corny, the story is really nice. Or at least to me. For those that dont like lovely dovely animes, you can at least appreciate all the humor in it. Especially when they suan each other. So cute okay. But I totally love how the story goes. *swoons* The main character, Otani and Risa is super super hilarious and cute. In fact, Otani reminds me of someone... *AHEM* someone SHORT.
Girls, go watch it. Only 24 for episodes and I'm already dreading the end at episode 18. Episode 18 made me melt in my seat okay. So sweet lor. And the anime is so addictive that I finished the whole thing in 2 days. Or maybe its because I'm just too bored.
Anyhow, JUST GO WATCH IT LAH! I only advertise for nice things. The title just doesnt do justice to the anime.
Shopping wise, I've finished most of the people that I planned to give but I still have abit of baking and shopping to do. Not major ones but yea, I'm 95% done. Happy okay. But I still want to shop for myself... hais. I cant shop for myself at ease when I know I havent finished my Christmas shopping.
BUT SCHOOL IS STARTING SO SOON!!
In fact, with the whole of next week blocked up with Christmas celebrations and Youth Retreat (which I'm really looking forward to), my holidays have already ended. Tell me how sad that is. :( Mrs Chee is so going to kill me when I get back. I cant remember all the things, not to mention doing the homework. I'm so dead. All campcraft's fault. But hey, campcraft is much MUCH better than normal trainings. :D
Okay, I'm off to watch Bleach. :D
Ciao! and in case I dont update till Christmas,
BLESSED CHRISTMAS!
(gah! Otani is so hot~!
All i want for christmas is a Otani!)
- あい,Rei 7:24 pm
Phew!
The past few days have been either
CC training or
shopping for presents OR
rushing my homework. Tiring man. To think, my holidays are soon over and its back to hardcore studying for the 'O's. ): So fast! If only school days pass this fast too. I think I'll be in deep shit when I get back to school though. I've forgotten EVERYTHING about chemistry and amaths and the list goes on. Now I can only remember how to do my gadget. :S
I seriously dont mind another month of CCA but no school please. Anyway, now I have so many dates (as in meetings) with so many people that I've lost track. Like shopping with Tabi, shopping with Avy, study dates with both YingLin and Tabi, Pedi/Mani with Fatin etc. Plus, my last week of hols are booked with Youth Retreat. Looking forward to it BUT! not looking forward to whats after it.
And for once, I quite dread shopping. Or should I say the spending money part. I have been shocked with myself and how fast I spend money. But what can I say? They are for christmas presents for YOU PEOPLE. So be grateful. I'm almost done with my presents except for Samuel's and Gabriel's and a few more. Christmas shopping is super tiring and heart breaking when you have to use your own money to pay for the gifts. Thats the price to pay I guess.
Livewire! grew much more yesterday cause I came back. Nah, joking. A whole lot of us came back, Xp and Xw from Japan, Tabi from Korea and yours truly from Japan too. Heard Pricillia went overseas too but no idea where. Super noisy man. Icebreakers was super rough but the punishment was sexy. XD
Anyway,
if you people havent got me a present and have
no idea what to get, here's what you can get me. :D I know thinking for presents for people is a pain in the ass.
You guys can get me
a nice pencilbox, preferably black and big enough to put all my junk in it. Or else apparels are nice. I'm looking for some
nice mini dress that can go with shorts or skinnys.
Shirts are cute too but dont get me things like suspenders which I'll never wear or some flirty short skirt. You'll never see me in some funny skirt though it can be a good prop for my bimbo wear in the skit.
Oh, and you can get me
cute paper stuff like cute notebooks, pens or accesories. What else... oh yes. Get me some nice
fiction storybooks like trashy lovestories to improve my english.
Comics will do too. But no assesment books thanks. I'll chuck those to Jeremy.
But please, try
not to get me food (which i know someone already did) cause I've seriously have more than enough at home and I'm trying to get rid of all the food I consumed in Hokkaido. Getting fat so damn fast. :S
Haix, now now. I have to start baking the rest of the gifts.
and with love,

Hokkaido Trip'07
Day One:Plane flight to Narita in the morning and reached at around 4 in the afternoon. Sun was already setting at 4pm so it was pretty chilly there. Around 5 degrees? Set off to our hotel and went shopping at nearby mall. Honestly, I think there was the best shopping mall throughout the trip but guess what? I had to have a bad stomachache there and was stuck in the toilet. Was so wasted okay. ):
taking off!bye singapore!first sight of japan!sunsetting
Day Two:Plane flight from Narita to Hokkaido. It was the domestic flight so there was no entertainment on fight other than audio. However, I had my fair share of entertainment alright. Sitted nearby (in fact next to and opposite) was this 2 guy from the same tour but another group crapping about everything nonsensical under the sun. I gotta admit though both of them look over 16, one of them seriously have a mentality of 6. No picture of them but yea, they are hard to forget. Trust me.
After which, went for lunch at some eatery where I ate seafood for the first time in dont know how many years. My first crab okay... (I bet if Tabi is reading this, she will be applauding me. Right?) The food was awesome but my clothes stink of it (and this happens every meal). Anyhow, traveled to some winter resort to play the snowmobile. Apologies here, cause I really cant remember all the long names of the resorts, plus there are so many. But anyhow, it was fun but really, abit too slow. I had an impression that it was going to be fast one lor. And, we had to wear so many layers of clothes that I look like some super fat snow ball. Sky darkened real early so headed back for the hotel and enjoyed the hotspring and seafood dinner.
this is what i eat every morninglunch time!my first time having crab!compared to the expert here
brother and i
fat bon bonsclassy hotel
Day Three:SNOW TIME! Did rafting, sledding and tubing and spent the entire morning in the snow. Shiok okay. Afternoon went to see the stinky bears which were trapped to beg for food from us. They were living in their pile of shit okay. Poor thing. Lunch was seafood again, this time it was in the teppanyaki style. It was shopping after lunch and i was expecting some hardcore shopping. It was hardcore alright, but auntie style. Shopping for food, chocolates, souvenirs etc. So it was stoning at the heater for a whole hour and a half. I guess thats why guys hate going shopping that much. Had my first soft cone there, melon flavor. In case you guys didnt know, I aimed to have a cone a day. Abit more sightseeing then back to hotel for more food and hotspring.
snow, snow and more snow! ever wondered how a snow flake looks like? the next moment the whole chunk of snow fell on me so i decided a snow bed would be a better choice parents no eyes told you they live in their pile of shit one, two, three, four... HI FIVE! (now, give me my apple!) super huge crows.
okok, i know im practically eyeless first cone (the first step to getting fat) steal my ice cream, huh.. naughty romantic chocs i love these trees. super pretty~~ Day Four:
We went vintage. Visited the Ainu Village and the palace where the samurai and geisha lived. The shows were okay, but it was not much to my liking. After all I dont understand what they're saying right? The ninja show was pretty good, all the super fast moves and excellent skills. Stage was really cool, with reversible walls and floor traps. Lunch was steamed food and shared a 4 person serving with this guy called Christopher whom I made friends on the bus. (more to that later) I almost died from the amount of food. Then went to the Hell Valley. Gosh, I would never want to go to hell. If their valley already stinks this bad, i dont want to know how bad hell would smell like. Had traditional dinner after that, in yukata and all. The food was really really awesome and in enormously huge portions. At this time, I was pretty afraid of food already. Hotspringed again.
simplistic look thats what you're be if you mess with me freaky weird people, Ainu people. gosh, i look damn retarded. poor salmon. sandals? look more like a bikini to me. vintage baby cute sister super thick makeup man! my fave shot! DoRayMiyu-ka-ta!!Day Five: Sightseeing, visit to a glass factory and musical box factory. Played with this little girl Cheryl on the bus journey and her brother Christopher was simply delighted cause then he can have his share of snooze. Haha, throughout the trip both Christopher and I were the sleepy heads sitting at the back of the bus snoozing the moment we go up the bus and Cheryl would bug him to play with her. Oh, FYI Cheryl's only 7 and Christopher and I are the same age. The musical box factory was enchanting, with all types of musical boxes. There was even this musical box that is electricity operated, and plays 50 types of music. Volume, speed can be controlled and has a super lovely price of about a thousand sing dollars. Handmade okay. Lunch was (no surprise here) seafood and we groaned at the sight of it. Visited the white lovers choc factory which looked more like a castle to me and then to see the night view of Sapporo at some skiing place. Then off to see the Oodori park and city life at Sapporo. Mostly sightseeing in the cold (2 degrees mind you). Dinner... well, i rather not mention it. Hotspring is still ace.
this is Cheryl and Christopher having his turn of snooze looks alot like the one in ouran, right? thats super scary alrights Day Six:Off to the fish market. Honestly, I have this super bad impression of fish markets cause I simply hate the smell of fishes. But thank God it wasnt that bad. After all, Japan is a decent country that has great inventions such as butt warmers on toilet seats. Saw super huge fishes, whose eyes were the size of my palm and living octopus and fish intestines. Gruesome but nonetheless fresh. Crabs were like super big, most roughly about 0.4m to 0.6m big (thanks to cc) and alive enough to escape from the tanks. Prawns are like the 10 cm each and super fat. Visited their so called Parliment house next then Asahi beer factory. Being typical Singaporeans, we teens broke the rule and you could actually see all those above 14 drinking beer. Their legal age is 20 but well, Singaporeans are Singaporeans. Lunch was BBQ buffet and as usual, shared with Christopher until two sister joined us (I know them by Weekhee and WeeQing). Haha, so we messed up more food, played with the candyfloss machine and icecream. The most fun lunch I had there. Shopping after that with the two sisters but we couldnt get anything. The things there are either all too ex or not suitable or both. So in the end, we were like really disappointed.
thats dissection for you cheryl and her kor kor christopher again it was still breathing okay. thats how fresh it is super fat prawns (for Nicole!) fish head curry anyone? this fish head is super big! its eye is the size of my palm! like our parliament house but this is way nicer! Last Day:Had the honors of taking the first ever chartered flight from Sapporo to Singapore. Since the flight was full of Singaporeans, there was a mad chase for the seats and stuff. It was also the first flight that I moved around so much and made so much noise. Everyone was out and about once the plane was in the air. Played bridge with the gang, taitee and blackjack. After we ran out of drinks for the penalty and people got irritated with the noise, some of us went back to watching movies/playing games or chatting. It seemed like forever but it was really fun.
I was pretty sad that I was back in Singapore. Hot weather and rude people (no offense here but Japanese are really polite). And, its bye bye to the great friends. Hopefully will meet them sometime though. :D
