5 random things off my mind.
(amidst all the SS, Amaths and Biology crap)

Number One: Biology is FINALLY OVER. (:

Number Two: I want to dress up in a kimono for my wedding.

Number Three: I think Yinglin is the cutest girl I've met. (and retarded!)

Number Four: SHIN IS SO DROOLABLE.

Number Five: I think my TIMEOUT logo is pretty cool.
(AND I'm so looking forward to it!)

Oh yea. I was probably smartest (uncoolest person according to Mrs Chee) today.

Yes, I went to the exam hall with an electronic dictionary, WITHOUT batteries. So smart right?
Haix, I never expected Xp's dictionary not to have batteries. :S

See lah. This is what Biology can do to you.
Yes, the BRAIN DRAIN EFFECT.

Okay, I'm off to join the war between Iraq and Cosine.

Something for those who needs a break from studying...

Documentary of DOOMSDAY 2012: End of Days

I found it really intriguing, after all, the day 21/12/2012 is not as though very far way like that. (PLUS, it has alot of my fave numbers! 21) What they say in the video DOES make sense, and I believe its not totally some fabricated cause, well, these researches definitely did alot of research just to come up with all these.

But anyhow, I still stand firm on my faith. (:

HAHA. On a side note, this vid so links with TIMEOUT! Dont you guys think so? Now thats another GREAT reason for YOU to do something about this upcoming TIMEOUT! event.

To be free;

I'm using english exams tomorrow as an excuse to myself to blog. So today, I will be using QUEENS english to blog, without all those atrocious singlish terms.

Life's pretty boring now, with MYE around the corner. Everyone's studying madly, but then again, with a few exceptions from some classes (like mine). Guess some people are really too smart to mug study already. And no, I do not fall into that category cause I am mugging my ass off one of the few that are studying furiously now.

My exam schedule looks like a suicide plan, with Biology on Monday, Amaths and Social Studies on Tuesday, Elective geography on Wednesday AND Chemistry and Emaths on Friday. For those that have yet to notice the bomb clicking away, it means that my brains will be melting away due to heavy memorizing exams every single day, with exception of Thursday.

Now, I certainly thank God for Labour Day.
Yet again, I think my brains would have already melt away by tuesday.

Okay. That was freaking painful lah. Blogging in queens english wont be something I'll try again. But then again, its just to escape from studying for awhile. Biology is driving me up the wall. So much to study, so little time AND so little brain space! The grey matter in my brain takes up too much space already lahh. :S

*sighs*

Exams starts tomorrow and I'm so not ready. Plus with all the killer papers lined up for me one after another, its going to be hardcore study and even overnight study if I must. PIA all the way already till friday and I'll be so happy. At least after chemistry paper, danger zone is over.

Okay lah. English and Chem&Phy SPA tomorrow and I've yet to study SPA. :S

SHITS! I DIDNT BRING BACK MY SPA TO STUDY...
Okay, hello doomsday.

21/04; Happy Bday Xiaowen & STUDY?!
Monday, April 21, 2008, 6:36 pm | 0 comments

Its the 21st of April! (:

AND its...

HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY XIAOWEN!

So far, I only one person that like the same number as me AND birthdate falls on it too and that would be Xiaowen. HAHA! Coincidence!

OMGosh. Exams starts this week. Its coming like so fast and yet, I'm so not prepared. (No kidding there. I totally detest those that claim that they arnt prepared yet they have already spent weeks mugging.) Everyone's stressed out and trying to grab time to study but our school still insists on making us stay in school till 5.

I dont have much to say today and only intended to blog just because its the 21st and its Xiaowen's birthday. Speaking which, mine's next month! But it falls nicely just days before mother tongue 'O' level exam. :(

Okay, off to study people.

(Yes, im officially becoming the social-less person I've described and have became best friends with the xylem vessels and their perforated walls. )

It has been one week since the Band SYF and well, you gotta admit that TK's still kinda solemn about the GWH-but-no-BDB thing. Not only the band though, its practically the whole of TK or at least, the sec4s.

Why?

ITS THE BAND MAH. TK Band has been our pride, something we are proud of when people say "Eh? TK is the one with the really good band right?"

So I was rewatching the SYF'06 where we got GWH AND BDB and seriously, back then, we really set a really high standard for the rest of the schools cause.. they did so freaking well! Their formations, the music, and even their hentaks! Really good. (:

Not that this year's isnt...

Well, I've realised that the '06 cohort managed to clinch many awards, such as the BDB & GWH for the Band and Champions & 4th for Campcraft. The '07 cohort, though not as active compared to the '06 batch show their strengths by scoring REALLY well for 'O' levels.

So what about our '08 batch?

They are certainly going to expect much from us, maybe much more than the previous batches. There is no way they are going to let us drop the standards, are they?

*sighs*

I certainly dont enjoy Sec4 life now.
Especially not with all these non-stop mugging.

Now, dont get me wrong about mugging. Mugging is a good time to time hobby. Just not on a daily or hourly dosage you know?

Okay, I guess you've been entertained long enough and I'm going back to talking with my new found friends - xylem stems and hepatic portal veins.

I'm worried for you, my dear friend. ):
It pains me to see you like that.

Mann. I have no idea how the Band people are feeling now (and of course, I dont want to experience it). And Sir Kelvyn always take all sorts of opportunities to teach us lessons. One of such was yesterday's Band comm.

The theme this year was some cheena crap which most of us caught no ball. I mean like wth? It is a totally wrong theme for a military band which supposed to be glorious and glam (like in 2006). Anyhow, all the performing bands definitely have pulled up their standards especially schools like Deyi who won Gold with Honors, BDB AND BDM.

Congrates to them. I think they really deserve it cause well, their drum major sure can throw the maze like SUPER UBER high. Just like our drum major 2 years ago. Another reason I think they should win is cause... it wasnt too cheena. (:

But of course, I still support 100% TK BAND. They practiced so hard and their discipline is what I can say admirable. Thats why you TKsians saw a bunch of RED shirt people helping up in the cheers alongst with the NCC SEA guys on Sat.

Yep, THAT group, for your info is the CAMPCRAFT people. (But I think most of you would have already know, unlike Mr Balbinder Singh. So much for CCA Head hor? )

That was the only fun element of the whole thing lah. But our school is so enthu-less lor.

Anyhow, Cheer up guys. GOLD is just as good cause in our eyes (at least the sec 4s), GOLD WITH HONORS is just as good cause well, you guys always hold the BDB position in our hearts.

I'm so missing campcraft people. :(

Its so weird to not see them every single afternoon at the now barren pitch behind the A-D block. Trainings were so often last time that it has become a routine already. Somehow I cant get use to it... HAIX.

Tomorrow's Sports Day. Lets just hope everything will turn out fine, unlike every single other sports event so far. Well, if you guys have notice, every single sports related activity (e.g. Road Run) has been a total failure due to either wet weather or simply bad planning. Somehow, it has already become an ominous sign. Anyhow, hopefully we can get it over and done with. I dont want to embarrass myself over and over again you know.

And in case you didnt know what I meant, check out Tagore's cheering team tomorrow.

Also... Planetshakers concert tomorrow night (meaning I'll be smelly and dirty) PLUS.. Band SYF on Saturday (meaning I have to skip church AGAIN.)

Haix... Busy weekends.

Campcraft Team'08
the legacy

our flag flew high and so victoriously...

when we shared tears of joy...

when hardwork simply pays off...

when our cheers mean so much...

when the weight in the hands is felt worth while...

that is when we know we are the real champions.

Everyone has updated their blog about the results, reflections and thoughts about the campcraft results and stuff except me. Of course, the best is always kept for the last. :D

Campcraft competition to me is definitely one of the most queer competition I have ever heard of and even after the competition, my view doesnt change. Initially, I was cursing the person who started this competition of building shelters, pitching tents and building gay structures when we got the canteen just next to us. No use right. But after the whole process *jerome's accent*, I think its a competition that brings people from all walks of life, of very different personalities and with one goal together and build friendship and teamwork. Without passion, teamwork, friendship, trust and fun, I dont think we would succeed into the finals, needless to say for getting champions.

Though we are still building the same useless shelter in modern day terms but its the team that makes the difference. Dont you guys agree?

Anyhow, getting champions was something within our reach for our batch. Not being proud or complacent here but even the seniors saw the potential in us when we were cadets. However, due to our attitude and many other stuff (such as being the squad of many firsts), we didnt reach there until much later.

And that is with much help by our dear instructors.

Sir Kelvyn is officially my new idol.
Why? Simple reasons as sacrificing much for people you dont really know and in the end, not benefiting anything from it in the end. I was very touched when I read his blog and he said that in midst of the many things he was doing currently, we were one that he saw result in.
He was our motivation pillar whom inspired many of us to stay on in the campcraft when we didnt see any light at the end of the tunnel. Ask around the campcraft people, and we wont deny that almost half of us stayed around because of him. I'm a living proof of that statement.

Sir Kelvyn, you may not know, but YOU made a huge difference in our batch. Campcraft initially didnt mean much to most of us. Carrying on the legacy of champions was probably the dreams of only the captains. After all, we screwed up being NCOs, screwing up campcraft isnt such a big deal after all. Comparing then and now, we can safely say that you made the huge difference.
Thank you SO much sir.

To Sir ZY, Ma'am Hazi, Sir Johnathan and other '06 instructors, thankyou for believing in us and putting in good words for us to Ms Nani. Though we do find you guys naggy at times, it is never wasted as that naggings spur us on to prove you guys wrong. Some of you retain or slack in your studies, just to train us but nevertheless, we're touched by it. Thank you so much instructors! (:

On the finals day itself, I didnt take the same bus to HTA as I had to (unfortunately) bring the unit there. The night before, while sewing the flags when everyone was asleep, many fond thoughts and memories clouded my mind. I promised myself to blog it out so here it is.

Girls team:

Jinyi:
our DEAR CAPTAIN. you never know how much you mean to the team! although you're naggy at times but we always saw you as the head and respected you a whole load. Everytime you are disappointed, the whole team is affected you know? Personally, I'm really touched by the every effort you put into the team, even the small minute things we many not notice, such as health. I remember the time you were so concerned for me when I was kicked out from the team. You didnt dare to tell me the news from Sir Kelvyn and even comforted me in the toilet. JY, thanks a whole bunch.

Meera:
VICECAPS are always the sexier ones right? And of course, the more bimbotic ones. (JOKING) You bring life to the team and you were the one that had the most confidence in the team, not to mention, the most influential one too. Thanks for always telling me that no matter what others say, you'll always see me as part of the team. (:

Cyn, Fatin, Shawn, Audy, Gwen, Amanda:
You girls have always been so enthu about campcraft and even though you girls are sick, you all still make an effort to come for campcraft. What can I say? Its admirable. Shawn, I must say that you are damn damn pro okay. Though many people may not see your role as one as prestigious as the lasher's but your job is equal to that. Without the twine cutter, whats there left for the team to do?

My dear R gang, Rachel and Shirley:
The team can never do without its reserves right? We have folded and untied like hundreds of ponchos together and provided the best laundry service ever! I'll miss it alot!

To my darling Yinglin:

I guess giving up my post was for a good cause afterall. My foresight is good eh? At least I let someone whose gadget is worthy for a mocca ad take over and impress the judges (esp one of them!). As my best friend, I think you already know everything on my mind and felt what I felt. But there is just one thing I've yet to tell you... and that your hardwork has always impressed me and you're the best. (:

GUYS team:
(as the post is getting way too long, im keeping it short here yea?)

Guys, I'm glad you guys did your best on the finals. Getting double champions would have been really great but its the fun, joy, tears (though little from you guys) and crap that counts right? Coolie, it must have been hard for you. Being the captain must have been difficult, especially getting so much complains from both the instructors and teammates. But you made it in the end, right? (and please stop hitting my head. :D) Benny, you have been so supportive of the girls. Other than yongxi, you're the other one who always is there for the girls. Ivan, I know many things have changed but I still regard you as a really good and close friend of mine. Friendship doesnt change that easily, right? I still remember the times where we persuaded each other to stay in campcraft when either one of us wanted to quit. Thanks for the support, Ivan. Smile more yea? Oh yea, on the last note, Siddiq, MUSTACHE!

Campcraft has left great, sweaty, muddy and yet memorable memories with me which definitely would not be forgotten for a long time.

I love you guys. (:

Sleeping over in school tomorrow night so the next time I'll be updating will be after we come back from the Finals (and get our champions).

Its gonna be kinda weird sleeping over in school though it definitely isnt our first time. Yet, I think its kinda different without a unit to take care of OR being under someone. Its more like "free and easy" kinda thing, well, thats if the instructors let us. :D

I know JY is *AHEM* ELATED that Sir Kelvyn is going to sleep over with us. She ahh... What can I say man. But its gonna be sad that this is most likely the last time we're gonna see him till a long long time later. Like farewell party in December or when we're called back for some campcraft alumni thingy.

Today is officially the last day of training since last year and it seems so strange how time flew so fast. I still can remember we were having the audition for campcraft team behind the A to D block and I was pretty upset that I screwed up on my lashings cause at that point of time, I wanted to be the lasher. Who knew, I got transferred from pegger to lasher and to.. well.. nevermind.

Anyhow, its like really the last bit of the campcraft journey and I'm definitely glad to have walk this path with my great team mates. I know its so cliche but though there were disappointing and frustrating times, there were definitely more happy and heartwarming times. I guess, I'm glad I didnt give up on campcraft.

Of course, other than great teammates whom we grew closer to, we have great instructors and teachers who went through this whole long process with us. Once, I asked Sir Kelvyn why does he come back to train us when after all, he can choose whether to come back or not, plus he has a super busy schedule. For many of us, we think that our time spent on campcraft over studies is already a major sacrifice, but for Sir Kelvyn, who can choose whether to come back anot, skips university lessons just to come and train us. He didnt reply me, sadly but I think through him, both teams are greatly inspired. Honestly, I think without him, at least 50% of us would have quit campcraft long time ago. Right anot?

He's one great role model right?

The CC team'06 instructors also sacrificed a whole bunch just to come and train us though initially we thought that some of them are just plain naggy and irritating (opps!). Of course, through the whole process, we finally understand why they actually pick on the minute insignificant details or pushing us for "unrealistic" goals. I guess if it wasnt for one thing they had called Passion, I guess we could have gone fly kites already.

We've gone through a significantly long journey to reach this point and I guess the rest would agree that without the teamwork and instructors' perseverance and determination to make us a great team, we wouldnt have done so well.

Our batch is one big problematic bunch that simply dont go by the rules but create new ones. We have potential, but just dont want to flaunt it. We just love to be the history makers.
I can imagine how much panadols our instructors must have consumed lah.

Anyhow, we're almost there. Hopefully the next time I blog, it would be "TK CC TEAM CHAMPIONS!" as my title.

But then again, I never put titles.
Cross your fingers people and wish us all the best yea?

"TK CC NO. 1! We are NO. 1! YEAH!"
