Look! We caught a panda!

TIMEOUT!'s tomorrow! (:

Have been waiting a year for it and its finally coming. This year's Youth Anni celebrations are definitely one notch up the previous, with MUCH higher expectations. I believe it will be just as superb as last year's.

These days have been rather monotonous, nothing special, just boring 90 minutes truncated lessons and basically going home to watch drama or off to church to do deco and vids. I want my holidays okay... :( Thinking how mundane school is going to be when school reopens just makes feel like shriveling into a stone. I think stoning would be even more entertaining lah. :S

Yes, I've a short attention span and interest span and patience span. I get bored and fed up easily.

Besides that, I managed to pon school today. :D Imagine how I would have spent that 5 hours of Chem+Phy+Emaths? Yes, sleeping would be the correct answer. And whats worse than that? Trying to stay awake. Its probably the worst feeling ever lah! Your eyebags feel as though gravity is playing them out, mind goes blurry and yet no matter how much you pinch yourself to stay awake, your nerves seem to be too lazy to respond.

It is that horrible.

Even coffee doesnt help.

So I was able to sleep in till about 830 and then cleared my hell-of-a-pigstye room and filed my stuff. Shiok~! Afternoon was doing vids and finishing up the deco for tomorrow's TIMEOUT.

Really excited for tomorrow. Those I invited, you guys better come hor!
Time is running out! Dont delay.

Details for timeout!:

Time: 5.30 to 8plus

Venue: Near Punggol Jetty. There is transport from Punggol MRT to my church.
Dinner will be provided and any questions, feel free to call me.

Okay, I'm off to prepare for tomorrow and pray for tomorrow's event.

High School Musical Inspired.

Truncated lessons are boring with the capital B. :(

90 minutes long lessons are really no joke man. I mean, though we have gone through it during November last year, its still not easy to grow some roots to a chair and totally concentrate to what the teacher's teaching when you know its the hols.

My method of growing roots?

I wrote "Persevere and Productive!" on almost every single page of the handouts/book/worksheet I was working on, followed by 9 lines representing the 90 minutes.

This holiday certainly wont be any holiday for me lah. Well, aside the fact that Singapore doesnt take a break, this holiday is jam packed with truncated lessons, events, POP trainings, other lessons and last but not least CHURCH CAMP. ((((:

I dont want to study during June hols, but I've no choice. :(

Like for this week, Thurs and Friday after school would be spent in church helping Tab to put up the decorations for TIMEOUT!, Wednesday night at Xp's house to do the last portion of the TIMEOUT! videos.

Oh, did I mention I'm really looking forward to TIMEOUT? Somehow, this year's theme (TIMEOUT!) came really timely, straight after the Myanmar Cyclone and China Earthquakes incidents. I mean it totally not a coincidence that it happens before TIMEOUT!. I guess, time really IS running out before the second coming of Jesus. Salvation time is so limited as we see disasters evolving right in front of our eyes.

In my entire life, I've never heard of CHINA having an earthquake lah. All these while, it has either been Japan or some other western countries, but NEVER, China. So what makes you think that Singapore have a chance of avoiding such catastrophes?

Singapore aint safe anymore, people.

The only safe place would be in the arms of God in heaven.

So, whats the morale of my story?

You people that I invited for the TIMEOUT! event, please try to make it alright? (:

Revival?
Totally.

P/S Thou shall not lose out to Mich's super neat blogskin. I shall find one that is nicer! :D

Old, Old, Old.

Hi everyone, sixteen year OLD Joan's in the house. First and foremost, I would like to thank all you of you guys that sent me birthday wishes, lovely cards and presents on my birthday. Arigato! (: I really liked the 2 cards from Lin and the NP guys! The card from the NP guys was really really nice, especially the cover (done by COOLIE) though inside, most of the handwriting are illegible. Lin's one was special and I wont tell you guys why. X3
Thanks again!

Haha, you might be wondering whats up with the OLD but yea, I've realised that most of the well wishes I've received contained the word "OLD". So I guess my hypothesis is right afterall!

AT 15,

AT 16,

No difference right?
Ahh. That means I'm not OLD!

Bazaar yesterday was totally boring other than the part we celebrated Shaun's birthday. HOHO, Happy Birthday Shaun. One day makes ALOT of difference eh? As usual, there was taupok, birthday bash and finally the cake fight.

And nothing better than chasing Coolie around with the cake. Apparently, 4H became a cake-fied classroom after that.

NP memories. (:

To make up for the very pathetic amount of blogging the past weeks, I'm here to fill in the gaps.

I'm turning 16 so soon! When I was younger, I used to enjoy reading Marykate&Ashely's Sweet Sixteen and have always wondered what would it be like when I turn 16. I mean in their stories, they mention about having cute boyfriends/crushes, crazy parties and high school proms. Apparently, my life now doesnt even consists a pinch of that lah! Cute crushes, maybe time to time but parties, prom etc is definitely far from it.

Geez, 16 sounds way much more matured than 15 lah! When one says that they are 15, most people's reaction would be "oh, still young and bubbly." But one says that they are 16, the reaction would be completely different like "woah, 16 should be matured and sensible already right?". True right?

Anyhow, people still do not see me physically as a 16 year old. They think I look either like a Sec 2 kid or a JC student. Contrasting, I know. But what to do.. my physical size and eyebags do not go along mah. (Now, Samuel, if you're reading this, I bet you're thinking of a word that starts with S and rhymes with the word "taut".)

On a side note, I realised that I'm not far away from the "goals" i set now that I'm turning 16. Dont ask me why but I used to fantasize with girlfriends about getting engaged or something by the age of 21. THATS LIKE 5 YEARS FROM NOW! OMGOSH.

Okay, 16 really makes one sound older.

Enough of these crap, back to reality. (:

I'm really looking forward to dinner with Lin tomorrow! Gonna be best friends outing tomorrow cause its gonna be sad should be part this year. We want to be go to the same poly, same course and even same class next year but who knows? (she's too smart lah!) So I'm treasuring all the times we spend together cause well, its so rare that in life you meet such a good friend right?

Moley friends are hard to come by you know! (Inside joke. I bet Tabi knows what I mean!)

But of course, I treasure ALL my friends (yes you!). Cause though you may be the craziest person on earth, without you guys, my life would never be the same. (not meaning that you lovely people are crazy,) Arigato! (:

So, i'm looking forward to tomorrow yea? *wink*
No, NOT the english test, bodoh.

Bye, 15-year-old Joan.

Exam results were pretty disastrous but there was an overall improvement from 3 failed subjects to 1. But still... far far far away from the target. :( So now im considering which subject to drop... Chemistry or Amaths? Hmmm. What do you guys think?

Anyway... TIMEOUT! is coming! So excited! Its weird cause like a year ago, I was so eagerly awaiting for this day to come and its finally coming, so soon! Time really teleports man. :S Will the coming year pass this fast as well?

Anyhow, its still weird to see your band up there practicing while you are at the audience seat. Today as I was helping Kenneth set up the electric guitar pedals and stuff, memories suddentely flooded back to me and I realise it was the opposite situation the year before. It used to be I that would be playing the electric guitar and Kenneth helping me set it up, testing the sound. This year is the other way around. :S

I miss the BAND!! ):
Otherwise, I'm practically in the other committees, respectively the Ushers, the Decorations and the Publicity. (I know i'm indispensable lah. Just admit it. :P) Apparently the Publicity head is soooo good at distributing work that 70% of the work lies in my hand and the rest in his. :S Oh well, thank goodness im not the deco head cause its so much work man, especially with the raised expectations this year...

Haix... if only i can put in the SAME amount of effort that i put into this kinda of things into my grades. How good would that be right? I would be getting at least A lah.

MIDYEARS ARE FINALLY OVER!!

*flops over computer screen*

So tired lah.

Mugging really kills brain cells and I'm now suffering from brain drain effect. Hmm. Is there any food for recovery from brain drain effect? (Dont tell me pig's brain. Thats disgusting!)

I know the past 2 posts were mainly about k and jdramas. Sorry lah, cause the past few days (mainly this week), it has been more relax, having only like 1 paper a day. So I took the chance to rest my brain cells abit (they're already in critical stage, almost K-O) and watch some dramas. It has been a seriously long long time since I watched dramas. Most of the time its mainly half or a third of the episode for a 10 or 20 minutes break a day.

Dont tell me I shouldnt watch dramas now because I think I can afford to watch abit after exams, right? All study but no play makes Joan a dull girl. Plus, dramas help you gather ideas for composition writing, since TK insists that we write narratives for our exams.

Sadly, I think I wont really be watching much dramas after this cause its going to be hardcore mugging for prelims again. Speaking which, my chinese prelims is tomorrow. :S I better remember to put in the batteries into Xp's dictionary. Dont want to be categorized under uncool again.

Back to the topic, other than watching dramas, I have been out and about doing the usuals. Nothing much special other than NP day on Wednesday. Somehow, the past NP days all fall on Maths paper and this year's wasnt an exception. Besides waking up super early to fall in in school, we had to bear with the humidity while doing the exam. The sun wasnt abit kind that day and kept shining throughout the exam, only letting the cool air set in AFTER the exam. :/

Lin and I also went to Shokudo (my fave!) to dine after exams on wed. I really love their tomato cream sauce! OISHI! Sadly its abit pricy, or else I'll dine there like every week. :P Other than their food, their atmosphere is also very kerei! Very jap-py, exactly how I want my room done!

Today was out with Tabi to help her with the TIMEOUT! decos. Thank God last year I didnt kenna deco. I prefer publicity like 9083473279721 times more. Not only its complicated, its tedious and frustrating at times. Gambatte Tabi! :D

And so.. to summarise it.. here are the

Pictures of Today, Tomorrow and forever,

And lastly...

K for KENZO! (:

Talking about probabilty,

How often do you find a JAPANESE drama serial with the 2 main actor&actress with your favorite names? (and really, when I say favorite, its really an obsession)

A very very very low chance right?

Not to mention one of which is a Japanese name, the other an English name?

That makes it very low, for the fact is that there are SO many names on this planet...

Well, I was fortunate to stumble upon this jdrama called Proposal Daisakusen. Sounds chessy, but really, the title doesn't do justice to the storyline.

I have always believed that japanese shows are far better than korean shows, no need to mention about taiwan/hongkong/singapore ones. Yes, I am biased to japan, but what to do... I'm loyal to my japan. :3

But to justify my stand (trying to sound professional here), I have Proposal Daisakusen and One Litre Of Tears to prove to you guys that japanese shows arnt like the rest, but one(thousand million) notches up. Most dramas is about chick flicks and romance stories, where the main actors go chasing each other and then got some disease (especially luekmia or cancer) and then this and that. BORING lah that kinda story.

OLOT speaks volumes about friendship and hardship of those going through an uncurable disease. And for Proposal Daisakusen, though it IS about romance, it shows how much Ken tried to do to get Rei back, being childhood friends and unknowingly, childhood crushes.

Yes, their names are KEN and REI.
Now know why I absoultely love this show?

I'm so sad it has to come to an end. :( The story is damnnn nerve wrecking and it gets worse after every episode. Its like there are so many chances for Ken to confess and he didnt. -.- And even till the end of it, he only confessed at the last 15 minutes of the show? Plus, it has been a long time since a drama made me tear. What more its just a speech.

I'm not faking it people. Its seriously good stuff.

I think my sister who saw me watching the show must have thought I've gone nuts cause I was literally jumping around when Ken didnt confess again or else screaming when he managed to do something really sweet.

Enough of the story, more to eye candy now..

Ken was played by Yamashita Tomohisa, this totally HOT and cute (totally my type) Japanese guy...

And Rei was played by Nagasawa Masami, really cute and pretty girl. Somehow i think she looks ALOT like the girl in OLOT. HEH HEH. My type too! ( dont get the wrong idea please..)

Kenzo and Rei really go together right? :D:D:D I guess its going to be long while till another Jdrama can beat Proposal Daisakusen.
Okay, I'm really going nuts.

Have fun people. Off for music lesson.

Dont faint after seeing this picture. (:

Okay, so I'm suffering from the i-finally-get-to-celebrate-after-chemistry disease. Friday and Saturday was totally awful but today, much perked up after finish watching kmovies. :D

What Kmovies did I watch?
My boyfriend is type B, 100 days with Mr Arrogant and... Project Makeover!

Haha, I know, totally not for guys, well, unless you're hell romantic one.

My boyfriend is type B wasnt as good as others label it and 100 days with Mr Arrogant was like.. pure fantasy lah. The guy in 100 days with Mr arrogant wasnt really cute and the story line was pretty messed up so I would only give like 2.5 outta 5 stars for it.

(yes, im stingy. i know.)

But on the other hand.. Project Makeover was really really cute! Especially the nerd called Tae-hoon. Die ah. I think i got something for nerds in comedy movies lah. :S
Have to kick that habit when it comes to real life man!

Okay, here's a picture of him (Yoo Geon).. Super cute sia.

Apparently, they say he looks like this now...

WAHH. Hot sehhh. XD
But I still prefer his nerd nerd look lehh.

Back to the story... Its about this 30 year old lady going back in time to change her life. Sounds too lame for you? Ahh. Though the went back in time part sounds as though its fabricated out of midair, the story is really sweet and the interesting ways the lady tries to change her 18 year old self.
Definitely my type of story, I would give it a 3.5 outta 5. And since she and the cute guy got together, I would give it 4.

So if you guys are bored, you should know which movie to watch ah. (;

Haix.. Physics tomorrow. Have yet to finish preparing for it but I will make sure I do. After all, I really do want to improve my physics grades (and Mr Wee will be SO happy after that) since I really like physics last time (and still do). I dont really give much thought to Chem but give a damn about Biology and Physics.

Interesting combo right? :D

At least if I really score really badly for chem, I got 2 sciences to rely on (and that gives me a really valid reason to drop chem!)
