"小时候我总会这样牵着你的手
只是盼望能够在你的身边守候"

Geez, today I got so damn pissed with my class people. Please, I wasnt the one that wanted class tee in the first place and yet after going through NUMEROUS rounds of approving, designing and RE-designing, you guys change your minds. FYI, I dont have all the time in the world just to do a damn shirt and I could have used that amount of time to do something more productive like studying or SLEEPING. Unless you guys have fickle-minded as your last name, I dont see any good reason of backing out now. *Grrrr*

I dont see whats the point of having a cert indicating that you're a 6 pointer and yet have such a shitty character? (No offense to the smart people and 6 pointers unless you're guilty of having shitty characters) Initiative? Down the drain I guess. Personally, I think those with better off characters are more worthy to respect even though their IQ can be much lower.

Of course, I didnt blog all this just because out of anger from the class tee issue. More likely this have been blogged out long time ago.

4A's trademark - in our own worlds. Class spirit? Whatever.
Now, I totally understand what Ms Low always say. Geez, now I pity her.

Anyhow, CC was really good, with most of the team back (except Fatin who's leg is injured). Now, this is something MUCH more worth spending time on.

TGIF.

Woah, today's preview was shiong man. And... as usual, we did our best. (: Despite the flag hanging solely only one clove hitch, I think Jinyi and Cyn did a fab job in taking the whole flagpole and putting it up again in less than a min. So i believe we did our best already. The tent was ZAI and gadget was ace, so KEEP IT UP GIRLS. :D

Of course, I think the guys did pretty well too but you know... I'm biased.
Joking nia. (:

Phew, being stretched from one end to another is really tiring. From school work (with extra pressure) to class tee to campcraft to church worship practices to music to photoshopping lessons (plus doing the lessons) etc. My eyes feel like they can drop out of their sockets at times. Pardon my humongous eyebags when you see them.

What i look forward to are CC trainings after school, weekends with Livewire! gang and my sacred moments in bed (OI, dont think sick. I meant SLEEPING).

Haha, I totally forgot about my December part time job - Shopping. AIYA, I also not as if can wear those nice clothes in the field.

'O' Level results came out as surprising, as pleasing and as pressurizing as usual.
Ironical isnt it?

By tradition, the sec 4 cohort would have to watch the graduated batch collect their results and the skyscrapingly high MSGs, L1R5s and percentage of distinctions (well, at least it was freaking high for chemistry and biology) and naturally get really pressured. TK did really well this year, with 11.4 as their L1R5 and MSG of 2.2 for the 2007 cohort. What really struck me was Pure Chem had 97.9% distinctions while Pure Biology (which only 40+ students sat for) had 94.7% distinctions.

WTH man. So that meant only 2 people out of 40 from 4A didnt get distinction for Biology.

Let me give you a few seconds to put your fallen jaw back in place.

Plus, about half of 4A appeared on the top 40 list (meaning 7A1s). Freaking smart okay. That got me real pressured alright. I mean, next year would I find my name among the top 40? Would I get below 10? In fact, if I get below 12, I'll be jumping up and down and Mr Koh would probably have to lock me up in the gym for an hour to cool me down.

ANYWAY, congrates to all 2007 cohort TKsians. You guys did freaking well (so much so that every teacher would be bragging about it to pressure us by tomorrow) and also congrates to all the higher mother tongue students.

Congrates to Xp, Tim Lim, Joel, Darren, Samuel and Tim Ng on your results. Seemed like Xp was flooded with calls for his results cause he sounded like a automatic answering machine the moment he picked up my call.

Now... time to start transformation into a NERD.
or an ALIEN. (:

Campcraft preview tomorrow!
Champions OI!

gosh, that was like SO random. :S

Crashed TKGS yesterday with Jinyi and man, it was a good experience. We actually planned to eat lunch from their western food stall (which I think their food is superb) and tour around the school. But sadly, the western food stall already ran out of food. At least the tour around the school was much better. Surprisingly we didnt get caught though we ran into teachers several times and we got to see the TKG pitch. Not very big but yea, still able to build a tent and a flagpole. Maybe next time we can go for a "later" lunch. *wink*

Alright, back to studying cause there is this irritating emaths test tomorrow plus a bio quiz on excretion. Oh, and a class tee to do.
Bugger.

21/01; the first
Monday, January 21, 2008, 8:25 pm | 1 comments

Its the 21st again, the first 21st for the year.

Man, hasnt it been busy? Everyday is like filled with work and more work and... WORK. I dont know if its just me or like the work is like growing like nobody's business. :( I've realised that I've yet to complete the lesson plan for Joel and Timothy (which i have to send out soon), my school work, catching up on emaths and amaths cause I've really no idea what's Mrs Foo's talking in class cause practically no one's listening. Not to mention I've yet to really practice my electric guitar and pack my ever messy place.

SO MANY THINGS TO DO MAN. :S
But its like the moment I reach home (which is about 8pm daily) I'm already so tired and all I dont need then is to start on work again. 21 days have past and I've yet to reach home before 5pm yet. :( I can remember last time when I was sec 2 I did not want to go home too early cause I'll have nothing to do. Well, I long to release early now.

For now, I'll post more pictures from Sat's campcraft training. Yea, bare with it cause campcraft is somewhat my part time life now.

YEAH, Sexy back baby. ;)

tsk tsk, Amanda, what are you laughing at.

Anyway, a few more weeks its gonna be Valentine's Day then Guys Prelims then Girls prelims then Finals. and then...

life goes on.

Ignite 08 "Taking the Schools" was good though I have to admit last year's was much much better. This time the sessions are much shorter, and worship was only 3 songs per session. :( PLUS CANNOT JUMP LOR as below us was 10 meters of air and the whole area was only held by 2 pillars. But well, Singaporeans ARE Singaporeans. A little tremors then fun right. Apparently, I heard for Gerald and Kenneth that the lights and stages were shaking but well, since I was one of those that were jumping, everything seemed alright to me. :D

Messages were focused on evangelism and marjority of the whole message were testimonies. I was pretty tired (and hungry thanks so SOMEBODY who told me 33 could go to paya lebar mrt) so I was nodding throughout the first session and Xiaowen had to constantly nudge me and ask me if I was listening. Of course I was lah! You're talking to the professional okay. I have developed sleeping while listening skills. Cool eh? XD

Anyhow, dinner with the gang after the whole thing at Subway and some photos. I was already damn tired by 9pm cause of campcraft earlier in the morning and my eyebags were already to times the size of my eyes then.

Alright, I still have my Amaths homework to do and chinese ting xie to learn. YEP, ting xie at sec 4. Amazing right?

CAMPCRAFT!!

Omgosh, I cant believe I've fallen in love with a CHINESE SONG. Believe it or not. See lah, Ivan... So much for introducing chinese songs to me. Now that I'm addicted to this song, I cant get it out of my head and hopefully I dont turn cheena.

No lah, I wont. Jap songs are still the best even though I have no idea what are they singing. Funny hor.

Anyway, my apologies about the previous post. 4A did not go to a fish market on Wednesday but instead they went to a fish farm. A stinky, algae possessed, deserted fish "farm". In fact, it was more like a fish cemetery then farm. Maybe thats why its located near all the cemeteries.
Anyhow, the moment we stepped out of the bus, there was like this persistent "aroma" of dead fish and ammonia. And oh man, I felt as if I was next to a pile of dead, rotting fishes. And as you guys should know, I dont like fishes, not to mention I dont eat fishes. So I guess you imagine how grossed out I was then.
The fish "farm" was practically empty, aside several tanks of catfish, snake fish and frogs for sale. The huge empty pits outside (which was meant to rare the fishes) was filled with GREEN water which stank to the high heavens. Obviously it stank cause it was the fish poop and algae AND rotting fishes. Gross right. I cant remember what was the right term for it but it looked like green mud and trust me, it wasnt a pretty sight. It looked like they did not change the water for a year or so. Eww.
So we visited another farm cause there was nothing to see at the first one but guess what? The second was not any better. More like the aquariums you see at the pet shops. :S What can I say? I didnt gain much from this trip other than a huge amount of ammonia gas up my nose and a neck ache after waking up from the bus ride. Oh, and not to forget, never to visit fish farms again.

So, campcraft was much better. You could actually see the SMILES on our faces when we got back from the trip and went for campcraft. The girls are definitely improving but of course, the guys were super fast. 10.25 mins, geez, are you guys or Hercules?

Third week of school and I'm STILL swamped in work. I know the past posts were about campcraft so I suppose its pretty boring. But whatever.

Sec 4 life is definitely different in many aspects, from our lessons, to our cca, to the time we spend in school, to our attachment to school. Attachment to school you may ask. But yea, I've never expect myself to buy the house tee shirt (I'm in Tagore). 3 years in TK sure have flew past fast enough but of course with great (and some bad) memories. I remember when I was sec 1, we had so many class outings to ECP and we were the first batch of Science talents. Then came sec 2, the year 2C won class champ and we were so closely knitted that we wrote a petition against a teacher. Sec 3 wasnt easy, many changes but also an eyeopener. Now sec 4... I wonder how my year's going to turn out.

Would I be one of those scoring the distinctions or... I wonder.

Anyhow, tomorrow 4A is going on stupid Bio fieldtrip to the fish market. DANG lah. I simply HATE going to markets, especially those wet markets with fishes stinking to the high heavens. SMELLY SMELLY! I liked the Japan one though, cause the fishes there somehow didnt smell bad or anything, plus the markets there were WAY WAY cleaner than Singapore's.
Hmm. Maybe I'll consider migrating there next time. I love 4 seasons, especially FALL and WINTER. (:

Okay, back to clear my swamp of homework. Life vest please.

Okay, so all the drama is over.

For those that have yet to know (which I suppose is the majority), I was kicked out of the campcraft team last wed cause they had too much manpower already. It came rather unexpected and boy, was I disappointed. Besides, that day was some super bad day where everyone was in a bad mood, especially me. After that I appealed to be in the team again (therefore the previous posts about not giving it up) and well, today sir talked to me and I'm in again. Though it may not be some glamorous post like my previous one (now I know how "glam" is it to be the lasher) at least I'm still in. Not as the reserve but... more like the bao-ge-liao person so all the admin work is going to be thrown at me. Surprised? Of course I was but not as if I got a choice right. Its either take it or leave it kinda thing already.

But that means I'm still in the team, and I'm happy with that. Its weird, but as long I'm still with the team, I guess my previous wish have been fulfilled.

So i guess i'll be wearing that bright red shirt with you guys.

Case Closed. (:

All I can wish for now is to be back there.
You know I'll give what it takes to be there, but will I have the chance?

Okay, this seems totally random to some people but it's HELL important to me. Practically the very reason I look forward to going to school everyday. I mean with it gone, seems like a big part of me gone missing.

It wasnt fair to begin with, so why not a chance.
I'll show you what I did for my so called mistaken lousy commitment.

In fact this all I care about now.

My gosh, school sucks big time.

It has been only 3 days and it seems like it has already been like 3 weeks? School hours are like extremely, horribly LONG. In fact, I much prefer having full day campcraft trainings than going for classes. Surprise, surprise but its true. Now that 4A is having super boring teachers like Tan Bey and Mrs Foo, i seriously need to find a way to keep myself awake and listening. Last year, even with teachers like Mrs Chee, I can easily fall asleep in her class and will need Cassandra (or basically whoever is sitting next to me) to wake me up or pinch me when I am nodding off to sleep. This year I'll need to find a super good way to keep myself awake. Sour sweets dont help and neither does pinching myself. How how??

Homework is piling up like no mother body's business and in fact, i'm far from completing my holiday homework. Please lor, the chemistry holiday homework is like so hard? Amaths too. Well, i dont have chemistry with chemistry since sec 1 and now without Mrs Chee, I have seriously no idea how I am going to get my As for tests. Talking about tests, I just remembered I have a physics test tomorrow which I havent studied for. SHIT.

Oh yes, I'll be taking away the tagboard and implement commenting. After all now blogger allows you people to comment using your livejournal account or blogger or wordpress or xanga etc. If you dont have a blog, you also can comment so that shouldnt be a problem. Feedback whether its better alrights?

Back to work people. Chionging homework session.
I'm going to turn into a nerd in a month.

Geez, I've washed my school shoes and have FINALLY realise that school actually starts tomorrow. I mean, I do know it starts tomorrow but have not digested the fact and come to reality with it. The moment we, sec 4s, step into TK tomorrow, its like our heads are printed with the words "O level students" and everything is going to be about O levels. Wow, in fact, I think O levels is the word that is going to flood most of my posts from now.

Going back to school is really saddening alright.
ANDDDDD....

I have CCA tomorrow (and every other day). WTH.
Whats this man.
Bottoms up for the new semester, people. Its not gonna be easy.
