Hokkaido Trip'07

Day One:
Plane flight to Narita in the morning and reached at around 4 in the afternoon. Sun was already setting at 4pm so it was pretty chilly there. Around 5 degrees? Set off to our hotel and went shopping at nearby mall. Honestly, I think there was the best shopping mall throughout the trip but guess what? I had to have a bad stomachache there and was stuck in the toilet. Was so wasted okay. ):

Day Two:
Plane flight from Narita to Hokkaido. It was the domestic flight so there was no entertainment on fight other than audio. However, I had my fair share of entertainment alright. Sitted nearby (in fact next to and opposite) was this 2 guy from the same tour but another group crapping about everything nonsensical under the sun. I gotta admit though both of them look over 16, one of them seriously have a mentality of 6. No picture of them but yea, they are hard to forget. Trust me.

After which, went for lunch at some eatery where I ate seafood for the first time in dont know how many years. My first crab okay... (I bet if Tabi is reading this, she will be applauding me. Right?) The food was awesome but my clothes stink of it (and this happens every meal). Anyhow, traveled to some winter resort to play the snowmobile. Apologies here, cause I really cant remember all the long names of the resorts, plus there are so many. But anyhow, it was fun but really, abit too slow. I had an impression that it was going to be fast one lor. And, we had to wear so many layers of clothes that I look like some super fat snow ball. Sky darkened real early so headed back for the hotel and enjoyed the hotspring and seafood dinner.

this is what i eat every morninglunch time!

Day Three:
SNOW TIME! Did rafting, sledding and tubing and spent the entire morning in the snow. Shiok okay. Afternoon went to see the stinky bears which were trapped to beg for food from us. They were living in their pile of shit okay. Poor thing. Lunch was seafood again, this time it was in the teppanyaki style. It was shopping after lunch and i was expecting some hardcore shopping. It was hardcore alright, but auntie style. Shopping for food, chocolates, souvenirs etc. So it was stoning at the heater for a whole hour and a half. I guess thats why guys hate going shopping that much. Had my first soft cone there, melon flavor. In case you guys didnt know, I aimed to have a cone a day. Abit more sightseeing then back to hotel for more food and hotspring.

snow, snow and more snow!

Day Four:
We went vintage. Visited the Ainu Village and the palace where the samurai and geisha lived. The shows were okay, but it was not much to my liking. After all I dont understand what they're saying right? The ninja show was pretty good, all the super fast moves and excellent skills. Stage was really cool, with reversible walls and floor traps. Lunch was steamed food and shared a 4 person serving with this guy called Christopher whom I made friends on the bus. (more to that later) I almost died from the amount of food. Then went to the Hell Valley. Gosh, I would never want to go to hell. If their valley already stinks this bad, i dont want to know how bad hell would smell like. Had traditional dinner after that, in yukata and all. The food was really really awesome and in enormously huge portions. At this time, I was pretty afraid of food already. Hotspringed again.

Day Five:
Sightseeing, visit to a glass factory and musical box factory. Played with this little girl Cheryl on the bus journey and her brother Christopher was simply delighted cause then he can have his share of snooze. Haha, throughout the trip both Christopher and I were the sleepy heads sitting at the back of the bus snoozing the moment we go up the bus and Cheryl would bug him to play with her. Oh, FYI Cheryl's only 7 and Christopher and I are the same age. The musical box factory was enchanting, with all types of musical boxes. There was even this musical box that is electricity operated, and plays 50 types of music. Volume, speed can be controlled and has a super lovely price of about a thousand sing dollars. Handmade okay. Lunch was (no surprise here) seafood and we groaned at the sight of it. Visited the white lovers choc factory which looked more like a castle to me and then to see the night view of Sapporo at some skiing place. Then off to see the Oodori park and city life at Sapporo. Mostly sightseeing in the cold (2 degrees mind you). Dinner... well, i rather not mention it. Hotspring is still ace.

super cute
corrupted little minds
looks alot like the one in ouran, right?
thats super scary alrights

Day Six:
Off to the fish market. Honestly, I have this super bad impression of fish markets cause I simply hate the smell of fishes. But thank God it wasnt that bad. After all, Japan is a decent country that has great inventions such as butt warmers on toilet seats. Saw super huge fishes, whose eyes were the size of my palm and living octopus and fish intestines. Gruesome but nonetheless fresh. Crabs were like super big, most roughly about 0.4m to 0.6m big (thanks to cc) and alive enough to escape from the tanks. Prawns are like the 10 cm each and super fat. Visited their so called Parliment house next then Asahi beer factory. Being typical Singaporeans, we teens broke the rule and you could actually see all those above 14 drinking beer. Their legal age is 20 but well, Singaporeans are Singaporeans. Lunch was BBQ buffet and as usual, shared with Christopher until two sister joined us (I know them by Weekhee and WeeQing). Haha, so we messed up more food, played with the candyfloss machine and icecream. The most fun lunch I had there. Shopping after that with the two sisters but we couldnt get anything. The things there are either all too ex or not suitable or both. So in the end, we were like really disappointed.

thats dissection for you

Last Day:
Had the honors of taking the first ever chartered flight from Sapporo to Singapore. Since the flight was full of Singaporeans, there was a mad chase for the seats and stuff. It was also the first flight that I moved around so much and made so much noise. Everyone was out and about once the plane was in the air. Played bridge with the gang, taitee and blackjack. After we ran out of drinks for the penalty and people got irritated with the noise, some of us went back to watching movies/playing games or chatting. It seemed like forever but it was really fun.
I was pretty sad that I was back in Singapore. Hot weather and rude people (no offense here but Japanese are really polite). And, its bye bye to the great friends. Hopefully will meet them sometime though. :D
