Crashed and Burn
EOY camp was a (total) failure.

For those that were in school or having camps at the same time as us, I'm sure you guys saw how disappointed, frustrated and irritated we were, be it on the first day or the last. And you can be sure we wont be over it too soon, especially when we still have CC trainings.

We wanted a bloody fun camp this time. It is called leisure camp for some reason right? So we actually planned many fun activities (credits to SAW) for them, which was not easy at all, considering how much proposals they had to do and as usual, is all done by the Head. I must give him the credit cause personally as a Head, it sucks to do so many proposals and your members seem to vanish whenever the word "proposal" arise.

And guess what? They were all canceled.
Volleyball game, water bomb game, shoe game, nightwalk, games all canceled. Yes, NIGHTWALK was canceled. Now maybe you can see how disappointed we were.
We are the first to have Nightwalk canceled, mind you.
(FYI, if it was carried out, it would superb. But more to that later.)

Its not that I dont except the reasons the CIs gave us during the many debriefs (yes, thats a new record. The first to get 3 debriefs in 2 nights) Its just really disappointing since we put so much effort to think of venues, activities and brought all our barang barang and it gets bloody canceled. Some things like the canceling of volleyball game and the outrage of the packet food on the first day was one that I was not satisfied with at all.
Firstly, I already discussed with her the timing of when we come and leave Sentosa. But she arranged the bus to come so much earlier than expected so we had to cancel the game. I have NO idea why she is in such hurry to leave that place. I mean, whats the point if we go all the way there to have our so called "Amazing Race" and then leave so soon. Another was the packet food to be brought to Sentosa. I already proposed for it to only be distributed when we arrive to Sentosa but she insisted on distributing it school and making the cadets carry it themselves. But we got screwed because the distribution was messy. Plus, she was the one that instructed us to put the food in SQUADs when we wanted to put in GROUPs which would actually solve the problem.
There are more but I theres no use ranting about it here. Its obvious that this camp the word that most people would describe it would be boring because fun activities were canceled. I even heard that the cadets stayed up till late to wait for us to confirm if our nightwalk was really canceled anot. And when they heard it was canceled, they were so disappointed.
Yea right, bloody Quality Control.

So anyhow, I was so called demoted from my last post but it was not very drastic. From LAW Head to LAW assistant Head. I guess you guys will wonder why I'm not happy with that post. Its because after all those bloody numerous planning, I get bloody demoted and someone that actually doesnt really do anything in LAW takes over. Its not that I have anything against that person but that person doesnt really initiates anything and needs you to budge before that person moves. Initiative, my dear.
Or else, you can also say that I am really irritated by the fact after all that planning, I get demoted. Okay, whatever. At least for that lucky person, the two NP boards are done, no more camps to settle and NP room is decent and stuff. All is left is to do a last stocktake. Tell me that is bloody unfair.

But on the other hand, I'm seriously impressed by several people during the camp. Namely Benny, Ivan, Shafiq, Cynthia and more. How Benny and Cynthia tahan all the criticism during this camps from CIs and TOs about our schedule and stuff and how they co-ordinated everything was amazing. They put in the effort even when everyone was in the dumps and sacrificed so much things (like sleep) for us. They did everything we did not want to do. I have to admit that I wasnt impressed initially when we were planning for the camp, especially when they went MIA. But I guess they paid it off during camp.

Working with Ivan have been fun all the while. The usual suanning and comparing who's shorter crap. Yea, you get the picture. During the preparation and planning of this camp, he put in alot of effort in initiating the Sentosa proposals and stuff which really amazed me cause I used to think he was a super bo-chap person. Also, how he was really nice during the nightwalk (our station is the backalley) and didnt scare me.
Come to think of it, he was my first nightwalk partner when we were Sec 1 and he told me this
"Eh, you bigger (as in taller) right? You walk nearer to the classrooms"
I was pissed off by him last time (and of course taller than him then) but yea, he's different now.
Oh, and also thanks for being so co-operative and always helping me with my LAW things. And also for the beret when I forgot mine. (:

As for Shafiq, I was impressed when he initiated to help me for F&B. He just came and did whatever was needed. He washed all our mastins so we will not be screwed and helped me with all the morning breakfasts. No complains from him (which I greatly admire because at times I was complaining how we were treated like maids there). You tell me impressed anot lah.

Anyhow, its over and done with already. I guess we are now all waiting for CC to end and finally POP. During this camp, we were all talking about how we want to POP straight after CCA recruitment in January or instead of having POP, we can just have PO (Pass Out). Simply Hilarious! All I can say is that if we ever have March Camp (I dont mind cause I want to have nightwalk), we wont screw up again

As the squad of many firsts and lasts.

And as a memory,

Nightwalk Station 1
Haha, I managed to scare Uncle Cheng okay. :D
Not bad right?
