Youth Retreat was the bomb. :D
'Expect the Unexpected' eh? TOTALLY. I didnt expect it to be that tiring too. But overall, the retreat was fun fun fun and not to mention really good food. But meeting God was of course the best part.
I wanted to wait for Nicole to send me the pictures before I blog about it but on second thought, it may take a long time. So, highlights of the camp were mainly the beach/water games, the 4am night walk and the finale. The 4am walk was a surprise alright. Being blindfolded and dragged by our group leaders (Samuel, Xp, Xw and Tim) to the beach where we had our QT. You can imagine Tiffany's face when she was woken up. One word - black.
Games were super rough and competitive with Samuel and Xw around. Oh yes, and our skit was hilarious. The 4 groups were given different tales and we got Little Red Riding Hood. With bimbotic wolf and Samuel turning into a older version of RRH at the end, you can imagine how ridiculous our skit was. Other groups were funny too, especially Xp's macho wacho act. Oh, and Daniel's gayish acting skills were excellent. My new idol! (:
But what's a youth retreat without meeting God? Messages by Vicki and Kelvin was good and ministry was like no other. Most of us met God then and from the testimonies, God sure did appear to everyone that seeks him. For me, I guess its time to surrender my studies to Him and let Him to bring on the greater plans.
I gotta say that this retreat was great and the credits have to go to the organizers, Mich (who sadly lost her voice on the second day) and Kenneth. :D And of course, the great chefs. Nothing beats great food at the camp. (so get jealous Tim Lim!)
Well, looks like its going to quite some time till the next retreat.
Now, tell me that time doesnt fly. It teleports.
